Super fun event to support the local zoo. Cato had a blast with all the activity stations, and I’m not sure who was more intrigued by the dinosaur – Cato or the Mongoose Lemures lol 😆

Office family picnic at Cuesta Canyon Park…Amazon style! Du volunteered to help coordinate the bounce houses…OMG so many different ones to play on for all ages! Cato got to experience his first face painting

We finally made it up to Paso to check out their children’s museum with our friends Erin and Xavier. The boys both loved the fire truck, and they had several ball exhibits that kept Cato quite occupied lol.

Fun fall camping trip to Kings Canyon National Park. Not as many fall colors as in CO, but it was nice checking out a new National Park during off-season (and a government shut down) when it was pretty quiet. The 4 days gave us time to check out the canyon floor, Boyden Cave, Hume Lake, and Grant’s Grove. Our campsite the 3rd night won the award for “Best Views Ever!” (looking down at Hume Lake then north up the Middle Fork of the Kings River). On the way home, we stopped for lunch with Marc & family in Fresno.

Per usual, Cato had fun running around with Parker and Hudson while Ashley and I attempted to enjoy the views. Family anniversary dinner at Old SLO was lovely… complete with picnic table next to a sandbox!! 7 year wedding anniversary ❣️

Celebrating the Fall Equinox with some apple picking at SLO Creek Farms with Parker and Hudson. The boys had a blast running around the orchard, exploring the flower fields, and playing with the lawn games. Many apples were consumed 🙂

Fun trip back back to CO to visit Uncle Steve and Auntie Heather. Steve and Du tried their hand at the inaugural Big Horn Sheep Ride in Gypsum (80 miles, mixed gravel/tarmac) but decided actual racing just isn’t their jam. Cato’s arm was noticeably feeling better and didn’t slow him down in the least!

Fun afternoon checking out the children’s museum and then hanging out by the creek. So much to explore!

We had a fantastic time checking out Anchorage for 4 days and then driving down to Seward to explore for another 3 days. Highlights included a Reindeer Farm (with a practice roof ;-), watching planes at the world’s largest sea plane base, a Glacier Discovery train ride, hiking to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, and a 6hr boat tour into the same park. As always, Cato’s favorite activities involved throwing rocks into water, climbing on tractors, and scrambling over rocks/roots while hiking. He also loves airplane trips because then he gets to ride on LOTS of escalators, moving walk ways (running laps, if time permits), and underground trams.
